this weeks Bloggers Community Photo Challenge is ornaments...post a favorite ornament or any ornament.
i love Christmas. it is my favorite time of the year. it represents love, family, togetherness and most of all the celebration of my dear Savior's birth. because of this many of my ornaments are nativity scenes or angels and here are a few i would like to share.
a child is born...
and the angels rejoiced.
this one is special to me because it is a gift i gave hubby on the anniversary of our 1st date 6 years ago.
and these last two came from my mom. they hung on our tree for as long as i could remember. as a child i was fascinated with them because they were filled with 'angel's hair'. after i married i asked for a couple of them because the memory was so special.

I love how you did this with telling the story of Jesus being born and then the angels rejoicing; that was neat and great pictures!! so sweet with the ornament your hubby bought you; that was cute; I remember growing up having ornaments with angel hair in them too and my mom telling us to be careful because it was easy to get cut on; so glad you were able to get a few special ornaments from your childhood :)
thanks for sharing all with us :)

You really do have some special ornaments. I think if I had to choose favorite ornaments... bells. I adore bells, not too sure why but I love them!

Gina, Your photos are marvelous, the lighting is awesome. I love your angel collection! I have not seen an Angel hair filled ornament before. Very interesting! :)
The lighting makes it so romantic but is that the right word for angels. Well, something like, awesome.
Wonderful shots!
Ann:)
thanks for sharing some of your special ornaments. I also have many special ones some dating back to the early 70's. Our cat climb the tree this year and it came tumbling down and broke 3 ornaments. It was sad that my daughters favorite one was broken which was also one of her first and from a special friend that has moved on.
Gorgeous! Great job!
hugs
Gina, Merry Christmas to you, too. I love your ornaments and the story. The two from your mom are really special--I understand how you would want those. This is a time of love and family--I wish yours all the joys of the season.

my first time to be here on your blogs... I have to check back more often.
These ornament pictures are just perfect!!! Beautiful!!
Lovely ornaments, traditions and memories, Gina!
These Christmas lighting are just simply superb!!!
Oh my goodness...never a year goes by that I don't have one of the angel hair ornaments on my tree, too.
I love, love, love your ornaments. Next year...seriously...I think I will forego a tree and only have a nativity. I'm going to check sale items after Christmas. Beautiful entry. Love you.
They are beautiful. Gordon collects nativities. Your angels got me to thinking I need to keep a look out for some of them.
I am so glad that you were able to get some ornaments from your mom. I only remember celebrating Christmas once as a kid, after that we didn't celebrate. I was just thinking a few days ago that I wished I had ornaments from my childhood. I feel that ones who have traditions from childhood are so blessed.
Merry Christmas.
I agree about the specialness of tree ornaments you've saved through the year. Always wonderful memories come with decorating the tree. These are lovely.
Hi Gina! Beautiful ornaments. I love trees that are decorated with meaning. My tree is a hodge-podge of ornaments. Each has a special meaning to me and most were gifts from family and friends. Lisa
My favorite is the one of the angel with her hands together praying, but an outstanding display of ornament photos. Gosh, all I have are balls. It's been a balls Christmas.
How beautiful they all are! I love angels too. And those angel hair ones really took me back; we had those exact ones when I was a kid.
As always, you bring inanimate objects to life...and I love our first year anniversary ornament...we're cruising towards five years...hopefully along the Alaskan coast...

beautiful Gina!

Hi, Gina! These ornaments are so lovely and soft looking. Great photos! I'm going to get back into these community challenges soon! Love these photos. PS: yes Hummingbirds can winter over if there is food...otherwise I hear they have mass migrations south somewhere....I started feeding these this summer and the seem to have hung around...:)
Merry Christmas!
I hope ya wonderful Christmas! I have something for you here!
I love these Gina! They look really pretty and the lighting sets them off perfectly. You've got a beautiful collection here! Jeannette xx
